Description

Ancient City is a future Sukhumvit Line station planned on the east side of Kheha, in Bang Pu Mai, Mueang Samut Prakan. The current operational Green Line ends at Kheha, while transport planning references the Samut Prakan - Bang Pu extension. For buyers and renters, the key point is timing: today the rail benefit is still prospective, so valuation should not be based on a fully operating BTS station.

The station's strongest anchor is Muang Boran / Ancient City, one of Samut Prakan's best-known cultural attractions. OSM/Nominatim places both Muang Boran Ancient Siam and The Ancient City on Sukhumvit Road very close to the station coordinates, while Museum Thailand gives the museum address at 296/1 Moo 7, Sukhumvit Road, Bang Pu Mai. This is a rare station setting where tourism, heritage, weekend traffic and low-rise local living matter more than office towers or mall-led urban density.

For real estate, Ancient City may appeal to buyers who want larger homes, townhouses, land-led projects or hospitality-oriented small businesses near a recognized destination. Future rail could improve access for staff, visitors and Bangkok commuters, but Krungsri Research warns that outer Bangkok and the Green Line Bang Na-Samut Prakan corridor still have unsold condominium stock. Check delivery risk, flood/drainage, road access, noise from tourist traffic, true rental depth, and whether a project price already assumes future BTS access.
