Si Iam

BTS · Sukhumvit Line Future station
Description
Si Iam is recorded in ThaiCozy as a future Sukhumvit Line station, but today's real rail anchor is MRT Yellow Line station YL17 at the Si Iam / Bang Na-Trat / Srinagarindra interchange. MRTA's 19 June 2023 release confirms the Yellow Line trial operation and mentions the Si Iam depot, while Wikimedia Commons records Si Iam Station as an MRT Yellow Line station opened on 3 June 2023. Future Bang Na-Suvarnabhumi / Silver Line planning also treats Si Iam as an interchange node, so property copy should distinguish current Yellow Line access from future connection upside.
The catchment is one of Bang Na's strongest mobility and service nodes. OSM identifies Central Bangna and Thai Nakarin Hospital nearby; Commons and MRTA data confirm Si Iam Station and the Yellow Line depot; and Wat Si Iam gives the junction its local name. The area sits between Srinagarindra Road, Debaratna/Bang Na-Trat Road, expressway access, hospitals, malls, schools and office/retail corridors, giving it a broader daily-demand base than many outer stations.
For real estate, Si Iam is relevant for condos, townhouses and service-led assets serving hospital staff, mall workers, commuters, students and eastern-Bangkok households. Existing Yellow Line access helps liquidity now, while future interchange plans may support longer-term upside. Buyers should still check walking routes across large roads, noise and air exposure at the interchange, flood/drainage history, parking needs and competition from Bang Na and Srinagarindra supply. CBRE's 2025 outlook warns that financing and inventory remain key constraints in Bangkok residential markets.
