Thailand's Office of Transport and Traffic Policy and Planning continues to describe the Saen Saep route as one of Bangkok's major waterborne commuter systems, while a recent OTP executive summary explicitly lists `Chan Issara Pier` on the Khlong Saen Saep corridor as part of Bangkok's rail-and-boat connectivity framework.
The catchment is best read as a canal-office fringe between New Petchburi Road, the Thong Lo-Ekkamai corridor, Khlong Tan and the wider inner-east business zone. This is not a heritage waterfront and not a tourism stop. It serves a dense practical geography of offices, service businesses, commuters, support retail, road traffic and interchange movement.
